Booster Training

Any tips? We have to start training C after his 4th birthday as he will be going to a summer day camp at the end of the summer and I need to prepare him just in case someone other than myself or my mom has to pick him up due to me going into labor. He would be using his brother's HB turbo if there was some reason for someone else to pick him up. (And to answer the question of what his brother would have left at camp, it would be his RSTV that he can talk anyone through properly buckling. :) ) I don't trust most people to install seats correctly but they can remember to put the seatbelt in the "red" on the turbo, so I am more comfortable with C in a properly used booster than an improperly installed/used carseat.

Kids hate pulling the car over. They just hate it. I would explain that if he can't sit properly you will pull over. This will be especially effective if you are on the way to something he really wants to do.

This may not work on every kid, but I have known lots that it did work on.

Another thought. Do you have someone that can ride in the backseat with him. Reminding him immediately that he isn't sitting properly might help. Then if he continues to not sit right threaten to pull over. The key to that is to actually do it, not just threaten.
