pay for expired seat?

Would you pay for an expired seat at a garage sale, just to dispose of it? Found one this morning for $5 (DOM 2000). She also had a 2005 travel system for $5. So I bought both. I'll use the newer car seat as an example for info sessions (I've been looking for a cheap one to use). Dispose of the old seat. Then clean up the stroller and sell it at the consignment store I work at. I should be able to get about $10-15 out of it. So I'd be coming out pretty much even. My husband still doesn't understand why I would pay for a seat though when I'm just going to dispose of it. He says that I can't take care of ALL the expired seats out there.

I've paid $5 for a very expired seat before only to take it directly to BRU and get the 25% off coupon which I then turned aroud and gave to a very pregnant couple who were filling out what they did not get at the shower. They were so happy and was totally worth the $5 :D

I might...depends on how much cash I have in my pocket that day :D. If I needed a trainer, I definitely would!

PS, have you signed up for access in the tech forum yet?

Yes.

I once drove 40 minutes each way to buy an expired RA. I paid $15 thinking I could resell the Safari cover, but never got around to it. It was still way easier than trying to convince someone that their Britax is no longer safe to use.

My mom thinks I'm nuts for buying old seats at garage sales, etc...

I also pick all the ones up off of freecycle, because they are almost always expired. DH has fun with the sledge hammer, lighter, etc. LOL
