UGH Diapers.com seat backordered!

So I ordered one of the new True Fits from diapers.com on Tuesday. I had them price match Albee's 15% coupon and it said very clearly on the page that it would be delivered on Friday May 7 and that it was in stock. Well, I hadn't heard anything so I logged on the site and it says the seat is BACKORDERED! And it STILL says the seat will be delievered tomorrow. WTH? I emailed them to see what they say. Has anyone had this happen before and the seat was still delivered on time?

I bet it will still show up tomorrow. Diapers.com is pretty good woth their shipping. I just bought two new Geo TFP's from they. Received them yesterday. Also, try calling them on the phone, 1-800-diapers. I have talked with them on several occasions, and they have always been very responsive and helpful.

My thinking is that it probably went into back order AFTER you purchased yours. They don't tend to do the preorder thing that other websites do.

Did you check the tracking number? You should be able to track it through UPS or FEDEx and that will be accurate. Like PP said, they don't generally do backorders, so you should be fine. In my experience, they will say something is temporarily out of stock if they can't fulfill an order right away. (I once purchased something and when I checked later it was temporarily out of stock, but I received it on time). And when they deliver something late, they credit your account. I once had them credit my account for delivering something late and it still came that day!
If it is late or doesn't come, call and if the person on the phone just says "sorry" ask for a supervisor!

Ok so I just got a response saying that it was on backorder until June 14!:eek: So I told them to cancel the order since I can get it from Albee. So then I go RIGHT back to my email and see that it has just shipped.:rolleyes: It's going to come on Monday though instead of Friday.

I just got ANOTHER email saying that they apologize for the delay since it will be delivered later than they said originally and they gave me a $5 credit for my next order.:)
