Question about Charlie's soap

We have been using Nellie's soap on the diapers and linens but not on the clothes because I find it fades them. Supposedly it is the "same" as
Charlie's soap, however, my Mom says she hasn't noticed any fading
of their clothes. Has anyone here had a fading problem with Charlie's?

I really want to try it when the Nellie's runs out but I gotta protect
my Gymboree:D .

Thanks!

I've heard Charlie's can cause burn type rashes when used on cloth diapers. I wouldn't risk it. No clue about the fading.

When it's rinsed properly, there's literally nothing left in the dipes, though...you've never seen clothes so clean...

I had heard with Charlies soup you need to be carefull not to use too much and do two rinses for cloth diapers and then it is fine. Please say that is true, I have to bags coming in the mail.

I haven't noticed any fading. If anything, stuff seems to be lasting longer.

I think ANY detergent could cause a rash under the right circumstances. There are so many factors to consider - how well the washer rinses, the child's body chemsitry, the water chemsitry, etc. My dd got that "burn type rash" from All Free & Clear, but we never had any problems with Charlie's, even with our old can't-rinse-worth-a-darn top loader. There's no way to know what works for YOU until you try.

There's a board on babycenter.com about diapering your baby, and I'm pretty sure a few use Charlie's on their cd's.
