Is Mia Moda giving it another shot?

Someone asked about the Mia Moda Viva Supreme on another website I frequent today. I told them it was recalled (the link in their original post was definitely the Viva Supreme), but they said they'd just seen it on the Sears website too. So, I had to go check it out. Sure enough, Mia Moda Certo. Looks EXACTLY like the Viva/Viva Supreme. I hadn't seen anything about it around here, anyone know anything about it?

I don't know, but I think it's crazy. You can get the onboard for less money.

Why did the recall the mia modo again?

The CPS advocate team at Mia Moda was very nice. They were also working with various experts on a very impressive insert for small newborns and infants called the Piccolo along with some other upgrades to the Viva Supreme. The last time we met with them, Mia Moda had come under new management that did not seem very interested in the future upgrades, such as the preemie insert. Our contacts left the company shortly thereafter, about the time the recall was announced:-(

That whole fiasco and others have made me even more concerned about child safety seats completely sourced from China. The fears are not unlike those surrounding many products in terms of safety these days. Unfortunately, it's very difficult these days to find an infant seat manfactured in the USA and even then it's possible many parts are still sourced from the far east.

Is Mia Moda giving it another shot?
