Easy Regent Install??

Soooo I don't know if i did it right but I got the Regent in Sahara today and I just got done installing it. I love how the Britax manual has a boat load of pics and different installing options (which is wonderful) but doesn't explain how to secure the seatbelt!!!! I don't know the technical term but my car has the seatbelts where you pull it all the way out, and then it ratchets back in and locks when it's going back up.

I seriously found the Regent install 100x easier than my Marathon soooo i'm thinking I did it wrong somehow. I did the short belt path (b/c i'm a dorkus that didn't want the seatbelt showing). I know i threaded it right but I don't know if i locked it right. I thought Regents had built in lockoffs, but they don't so I just clicked the seatbelt in, and pulled the beltpath all the way down and let it ratchet back up the stalk as long it would go. It doesn't move a centimeter. It's in the center rock solid, but I don't know if i did it right. Are you supposed to have a locking clip to secure it? I'd take pics, but you can't see anything.

Thankies for reading!!!!

No need for a locking clip with belts that lock--it sounds like you did it just right. :) Seriously, I find the Husky/Regent easy to install in most vehicles, except when dealing with forward-of-the-bight belts, and those are he!! with almost any carseat.

I can get my regent in the center of my impala rock solid within 5 minutes now. I use the long belt path though. Since its easier for me.
