Diapers.com price match on True Fit

I'm shopping for a new seat for my 16 month old, who is getting close to the top of the shell of his Roundabout and is still RF. I think a True Fit is the seat that would work the best for us for the longest amount of time. For the record, I was inexperienced and uneducated when I bought all three of my children's Roundabouts. Given the choice again, I would definitely find a better seat for our family that would have lasted longer. Live and learn.

Okay, so I have emailed Diapers.com because their Casino True Fit is $185 and it's $149 on Walmart.com, so I'm hoping they will price match. Then I get the 10% off for being a first time customer, right? Is there anything else I should know before buying through them? Cheaper price elsewhere?

I'm just wondering if you made the conscious decision to get the True Fit over the True Fit Premier.

The Premier has the anti-rebound bar to use for rearfacing installs. Besides the fact that it prevents the seat from rebounding into the back of the vehicle seat (a great safety advantage in my book), but it also keeps the harness adjuster in reach, where as the True Fit without the ARB can get burried, making it difficult to adjust when the seat is installed rearfacing.

The Premier does cost more though.

Both seats are great, and I'm not trying to sway you at all, but since you mentioned that you are still learning about carseats, I thought I would point out the difference.

If you add in a pack of diapers, you can also use a referral code for $10 off your first purchase. So essentially the dipes will come out to be free with your seat!

Where would I get a referral code? Is that something I get from other diapers.com members or do I use my own that I got when I opened my account with them?

No, thank you so much for your suggestion! I have been used to the upper latch with the RF Roundabouts, so I hadn't thought about my new seat not having an anti-rebound of some kind. However, if it's still safe without it, I really do need to be careful about price. I just had to buy 2 Graco Nautiluses and while we got a super deal on them WITH a twins discount from BRU, they still cost about $130 each. So I'm running low on funds. :( I need to have more garage sales!

I should have looked before writing this. I have a referral code and it took the $10 off just fine. Thank you for reminding me about this.

Go through bing shopping for 10% back. Honestly, I would call diapers.com rather than waiting for them to reply to your email... There's a thread that you can find referral codes (I'm pretty sure you can't use your own - but if it lets you, rock on!) http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=110005.
If you've never ordered before, you can get the parenting magazine rebate...

Thanks! I'll look into the Parenting Magazine thing. Diapers.com actually emailed me back right away and my coupon for the difference posted immediately to my account when I was ready to check out. I had great luck with them through email. I have 3 kids under age three, so talking on the phone is just not always appealing to me. :)

I don't blame you for not wanting to wait on the phone! I'm glad they got back to you right away on email - I had an experience where they didn't get back to me until the product was no longer available and then it couldn't be matched  (which is why I usually call now).
