you know... they would only remove them if they are alerted... so someone out there is pissed off or jealous and 'offended' by her and so reported her. They dont go trolling all the pages for offensive material- if they did they would catch all the other truly offensive crap on there...
(my brother chose the dangers of myspace as his research paper topic last year, so I know a bit about the 'dangers'- as much as a 9th grader could find and talk about in a school report lol!)

Well I'm not into MySpace so I don't know how it works, but I'm for breastfeeding and porn if that's what makes you happy and I think if its a private account that someone would have to specifically go to then I don't see what the big deal is.

I think she means that the pictures the mother had on her myspace of her feeding her child had been compared to pornography and someone had complained and they'd been removed.

Right, it's only a big deal because MySpace is repeatedly removing BF pix while obvious porn stays put -- they're even canceling pages altogether based solely on BF pix because they're "too revealing" ... yet the warnings are accompanied by pornographic ads  Can we say double standard?

This is how I see it...If there are two breasts, one on each said myspace account. One breast is being fed on and the other breast belongs to a girl with a seductive look and very low cut shirt. The first breast is displaying natural feeding vital to keeping a human alive, while breast #2 on the other account is promoting *SEX*! This is common sense people

LOL -- #2 pict should be accompanied with a warning that the *SEX* promotion could result in situation of photo #1 ;)

Ugh. Dh and I both have Myspace accts that we don't use very often, but we do check at least weekly, because that's where a couple of people we keep in touch with e-mail us, etc. There's definitely an overabundance of sexually-oriented ads, that's for sure. And dh keeps getting spammed there by porn invites :p that have very revealing profile pics (no, he's not soliciting them lol. He doesn't even have time to check the darn account himself. I do it for him and tell him if so-and-so e-mailed hehe). The whole thing, with the sexual ad accompanying the "cease and desist" e-mail  is similar to the "no breastfeeding in the store" policy of Victoria's Secret. One good thing about this kind of thing, though, is that lately, the backlash is actually creating *good* publicity for BFIP. Thanks for posting the video and the petition! I'll be passing it on!

Yep, yep, yep ;)

I just soooooo wish that I'd been able to capture a decent photo of Leila in all of the ~4+ years that we nursed! Bad mommy  :( If I had one I'd totally make it my profile avatar thingy :D

LOL -- I have at least 3 good picts of nursing (in public even :p ), but I don't think I'd go so far as to place them on my avatar. Nothing is showing, but I think I'd feel odd about it since they are rather personal.

I still can't believe that dh actually got the camera out to take them. He's such a non-camera dude, it's pathetic (no photos of me & dd for almost 3 weeks after her birth :( )

Maybe he was inspired by the exotic locales -- we were at a romatic Breton Castle and several months later, in Paris :D
