Importing seat to Australia

I am here in the country with the best carseat safety laws in the world  eh not true. Any way I managed to import a Radian XTSL when my sister went to LA but I would love another seat for my son either a Britax Frontier 85 or another Radian but I have no way to import. Does anyone know of any companies that send overseas of any other way to get the seat here to Australia?

I am after a higher weight limit seat for FF that maybe converts to a booster e.g. like the Frontier 85. It doesn't seem that the European seats really do forward facing higher weight limits correct me if I am wrong.

:D:yeahthat:

Try ShopUSA.com create an account there. I think it is a place where stores can send packages that they won´t ship overseas. Then this company will forward you the item.

I know they have the Radians in NZ she wasn't overly keen in sending it to Australia and I am not that sure about another Radian probably leaning more towards the Frontier as it converts to a booster later. Finn are you on the Nappy Network.

Yes I am but I only recently joined, so that I could keep up to date with the Radians :) I have ordered one it arrives in July :)

I would love a Frontier, I have a Multi tech it is pretty much the same thing, only rear facing & without the higher harness weight (ff) :( but it fits so well in my car for the couple of times i have used it ff, I know a Frontier would as well.

Could you use a booster and protector harness? I use a harness with the lap belt in the middle seat in my car for my 4.5 year old daycare girl.

I also decided recently that due to the weight of the multi tech I would never use it as a booster, the thing is a beast weighing in at 11kg!

Hi no I will not use a protecta harness I have read a few studies over here and they are not very complementary and people are actually trying to get rid of them. I want to internal harness I have DD in a Radian which my sister bought over for us and it is great and will last for ages. Just need something for DS now.

Would you be able to give me the link for the studies? I would like to read them. I really hope my radian will fit in the middle seat so that I can get rid of the harness, it does seem like a lot of pressure on the tether bolt in the event of a crash :(

I had a maxi cosi shipped from the states it was $100 usd to get it here, still made it cheaper than buying one here lol, i just found a seller on ebay who was willing to ship internationally.
