I'm lazy, question about the FR85.

You have to tether it after 50# like in the Regent right? Thanks!

Re: I'm lazy, question about the FR85.

I know the original Frontier doesn't have to be tethered until 65. Not sure about the 85.

The FR85 must be tethered from 65-85 pounds.

KQ and Pixels are correct. The manual says 65 -

When using the child seat in harness mode:
    • Britax recommends that the tether be used at all times
when installing the child seat. Using the tether will improve
the stability of your child seat and reduce the risk of injury.
You must always use the Versa-Tether for children
    weighing 65 – 85 lbs (29.5 – 38.6 kg)
    .

Re: I'm lazy, question about the FR85.

Hmmmm. That gives me a little more time if I bought it. He probably won't hit 65# for at least a year. AJ is right at the top of his GN. The passenger bus they take for field trips only has lap belts and I was trying to put off him using just a lap belt as long as possible. He's just under 60# now. There are no tethers on the bus of course.

    The Regent was 50# right?

Re: I'm lazy, question about the FR85.

That's what I thought. My friend has 2 Regents she said I could borrow but I thought that wouldn't work when we remember that fact. Dh is not going to be happy...lol.
