this would be for our secondary vehicle, my DD has just about out grown her scenera by height, she is just at the top slots. She is only 36ish lbs and has only put on a lb in the last year. Would you if you could find one inexpensively buy a another 40lbs seat with a higher harness height? Especially if you know in the year or two when she outgrows it her little brother (almost three and only 26lbs) would definitely get a while use out of it, or would you look into something with a higher limit on weight just in case she jumps in weight? By 5 she should be more then ready for a booster, but we definitely need a new seat for her in there ASAP, as the baby's convertible has issues and must go and is not use able anymore. so hers will go to him and she now needs a new one.
