what is with the harness adjuster for my BLVD?

Last year I bought a blvd for my dd2. We were using it rear facing until this last week.

I could never get the harness to tighten well. I posted about it when I first got it and was told to do the pull-pull-pull, not one smooth pull. That did not really make any difference. I was told that it would adjust easier forward facing than rear facing. In the meantime, my work around was to grab the harness behind the seat and pull it until the straps were snug in front. Then I could pull the harness adjuster in the front to remove the slack from the back. It was workable.

Well, now she is forward facing, and that stupid harness is still very difficult to adjust. Now I can no longer pull it from the back to tighten it first. So I just keep pulling and pulling and pulling, and I think it does get tight enough, but barely. I'd really like for it to be a tiny bit tighter. And I hate the work I have to go through to get it where I do get it. I thought it would be easier when it was forward facing.

Just frustrated.

I will double check that it can tighten without her in the seat now that it is forward facing. When it was rear facing it tightened just fine when she was not in it.

I have had 2 friends with similar problems with their Blvds.

One contacted Britax about it and they blew her off (even with her seat less than 3 months old AND under warranty)....after 4 reps telling her there was nothing wrong and she's doing it wrong, it now sits in her garage un-used because she doesn't trust it at all - she won't even try to sell it because she believes (as do I - I can't get it tightened either) it's unsafe.

BIG  for Britax - thier C/S is going down the toilet bowl.

I am having the same problem with my BV :( Sooo frustrating since I paid so much for a seat that I don't have much confidence in.

Wondering what others have to say to help with the problem

I have a boulevard and I actually find it the easiest seat to tighten the harness that I have. It must be different with individual seats. That really lame that c/s isn't helping or doing anything about it.
