Anyone drive a newer Santa Fe?

I like what I've seen of it. And it has 55 inches of rear hip room! Any feed back, anyone? I also saw the back of a Honda of some sort I haven't seen before that intrigued me the other day when I was walking the dog. Wonder what that is?

my mom just bought one, she cant get over the amount of room in it. She usually drives huge SUVs or trucks so i was surprised that she liked this so much. I think its really nice. We are kinda a hyundai family tho, since DH is a hyundai tech lol. I love the santa fe.

If the back seat is the same as the 2003 version, they are very nice cars but NOT 3-across friendly. The hiproom is irrelevant; the contours of the seat make it impossible to do anything without at least two Radians.

Maybe the Accord Crosstour? It's like a crossover suv/wagon, been out for about a year now.

Really? Our friends have one that's a 2004, I think. The seats seem flat. I've sat back there on many occasions. I must be wrong. I think the newer model might be 2007 or so. We test drove one, but not seriously. I want to wait until after the possible strike before buying a new vehicle. And, yeah, I know hip room doesn't mean everything. But I liked it, and have nothing else to go on right now! I'd like a little more room for booster buckling than what I have now - 49.1 inches!

Yes, I think I saw the CrossTour. That looks like what it was.

It appears flat but the sides, about 4" on both sides, angle in just sharply enough that it really makes it not CRS friendly. It's EXCELLENT for two...but not three.

We borrowed one a few months ago from a friend, a 2006. I was highly disappointed that I couldn't install the Radian in the middle. The seatbelt was horrible. I was forced to install outboard with LATCH, whic halso forced us to put one of the girls in the 3rd row.

What trouble did you run into? I was able to get an install in the middle, seatbelt only. You had to make sure the recline foot was down, and the seat pulled away from the bight a titch.

It wasn't tight, no matter what I did. Which is why I turned to LATCH.

My friend has an '08 I think, the first year of the redesign. She had an older one prior to that. The new one does have more room inside, but it still didn't look carseat friendly. I put A's blvd rfing outboard driver side and she has her daughter in a chase outboard passenger and there wasn't much room between them, maybe 6 inches. I thought it would have more room, it looks like it would from the exterior.
