How to remove gum on harness

Ugg. Dh let our 4 yo chew gum in her carseat (don't worry, I will throttle him for that), and now there is a wad of gum stuck to her Regent harness. Do I just try to scape off as much as I can and call it good? Any tricks? TIA

dd2 got gum all over her easter dress and i was able to get it all off by holding an ice cube on it. hARdened it enough to get it off in oone big chunk

Yeah, that ^ Ice and a finger nail are the best, non-chemical option. I've used a butter knife on other fabrics but wouldn't risk it on the strap webbing.
