Where should I put each seat?

I am doing a 3 across in a 1996 Escort! It is going to be super tight and Im sure that seats will be touching the door somewhere.

Buying another car is just simply not an option so I must do what I must do.

I will have a 2.8 year old- RF in a Britax Boulevard
A 12 month old- RF in Britax Marathon
and lastly a 7.5 year old in a Nautilis

Who should be placed in the middle? I will have to play with the fit Im sure, and I may not be able to get them in the ideal way, but what would you try first?

The FFing child *should* go in the middle if it works like that. That's what I'd try first- Britax, Nauti, Britax. Even up on the bases, though, I'm not sure the Britaxes are going to puzzle well with the Nauti. I wouldn't think you'll get the 2 Britaxes side by side very well as they would be both the same height. Any possibility of a new seat? Maybe a lower profile booster for the 7 yo?

Is the 1996 Escort the same as the 1998 Escort (which I have)? If so, you're going to have a really, really hard time making those seats fit together, if it can be done at all.

I'd probably try the Boulevard FF behind the driver, Marathon RF in the middle, and Nautilus behind the passenger. I think the Britax seats will puzzle better with each other (with one FF and one RF) than they will with the Nautilus.
