95 jeep grand cherokee

my brother is looking to get his car retrofitted with tether anchors for this car, the dealer is giving him a run around first told him, it was not possible, but then said it was going to be between 100-150 per anchor.

Please help, he insists on FF his tiny 15 month old, and if he is going to do this, I would at least like to see the seat tethered.

That's frustrating but sadly not unheard of that the dealership is attempting to charge the vehicle owner for the retrofit when it's Jeep/Chrysler policy that dealerships should provide the tether anchor retrofit (both parts and labor) at no charge to Jeep owners.

Not sure if you already have these details, but just in case, the LATCH manual lists the '95 Grand Cherokee as retrofittable in the center rear position only using tether anchor part number 04728952AB, and to refer the Jeep dealership to Chrysler Service Bulletin Number 23-029-08 and to Warranty Information Center (WIC) Article #1339 for details of the free tether anchor retrofit policy. Also consider getting Jeep corporate involved (tel. 800-992-1997) if need be to get the dealership to honor the free tether anchor retrofit policy, or try another dealership. :twocents:

I told him to try the other dealership in town, it is the Chrysler dealership where I got my van they are pretty decent when it comes to getting things done and knowing what and how things are to be done. Kinda helps we went to school with owners sons, if we have troubles we just call him personally and he takes care of things for us

I thought he had gone there originally, but no he went to the other dealer where he got it.
