Have they changed the Summit's lap belt guides?

I know it's always been a pretty lousy booster, and I can't say that it'd ever be on my list for more reasons that just the belt fit, but dh's niece just got a new one (even though they asked for my advice and ignored it, no surprise there). Her older sister had one, but she is 11 and had one as a toddler. The last time I had looked at them would have been sometime last year when I was looking for a FF seat for MIL's car for E. I considered it then, but then thought the temptation to use it as a booster might be too great later on for them and nixed the idea. Anyway, I was looking at DNie when they were getting her out of the seat and I swear it looks a lot different. The lap belt guides are much deeper and in what seems to be a better position.

Or...am I nuts and they didn't really do anything to it at all? I know they'll switch to booster mode way too soon, and was just hoping it might fit a bit better than the original summit's did? One can dream...

I think the shell may be a little different, and the cover is also shallower on the sides. My niece has one (also after asking my advice and then ignoring it) and I got her a spare cover off swap for it. The older cover came out further on the sides and into the lap belt spot. Not a problem during harnessed use, but I made sure they knew (if they listen) that they shouldnt use the older cover if they use it as a booster. that is the only place that the older cover did that.
