Recently I have noticed friends on Facebook posting about how their baby just turned 1 and is now riding forward facing "like a big boy/girl!" I want to say something, but I don't want to upset anyone. I think they would be more likely to listen if I am super nice about it. Any ideas on what I should say and/or good links I can post to show them why extended rear facing is a lot safer?

I know Joel's story has had an impact on a few friends that I know of: http://www.joelsjourney.org/

As for ways to bring it up, you could just ask if they knew that the new recommendations are to 30 pounds (I think?) and 2 years, instead of 1 year, and that studies have shown rear facing before age 2 to be up to 500% safer. I'm sure some of the more well-versed people here will have more to say about it though!
