Question Infant insert for Como

Hey, was reading through my manual yesterday morning and noticed that you can call Recaro and get an infant insert for the como.. it's in TINY print so I had never noticed it before.. we wouldn't have needed it anyways as Jonah was 23 pounds and 8 months when we got the seats.. but I just thought it was interesting. Did anyone know about this and use one? Or seen one in use?

I guess not lol

Anyways.. the manual says:

Infant Insert:
"... you may find that the harness does not fit snug against your child. In this case, the RECARO infant insert may be required. Please call ... and RECARO will ship you an infant insert and instructions."

I wonder how it would fit?

I was certainly aware of the existence of such (mentioned in the manual), but never used it, nor have any idea just what it is. We used an infant seat until she got too heavy to carry like that and by that point she was to the point she fit correctly in our Signo without any extra support (just the bottom cushion that comes standard).

I tried getting one for my Como. Many times. None of my calls were answered, none of my messages were returned and none of my emails got a response.

It's the holy grail. :p

I got one the other day. It's a black wedge. The point is to push the baby closer to the crotch strap so there's no gap. Also, it helps with the recline for little littles. I'll try to ge pics later.

How would that help get the straps tight enough? My nephew wouldn't fit in my Como at 5 months because the straps were too loose.

I asked that too. She said that it wasn't to help boost the height. That's what the infant insert that came with the seat is for. Apparently, lots of babies reach the botttom slot but have too much room between them and the crotch buckle. I will try to get pics tomorrow. I'm not really sure it's helpful at all.
