Here is DD2 in the seat as requested :)

Quick stats recap:
3y,9m Height 39", Weight 31#, torso 12-13".
She is just at the bottom slots, maybe a hair over so it is set to the second. With the tush pillow she would definitely be over.

And DD1 with it in booster mode:

Stats:
6.5y, 51" and 60# with a 19-20" torso.
It is on the highest setting and I notice the belt is routed wrong but the fit is pretty awesome. The lap belt is definitely on her thighs.
That is all the pics. It is nice out and they wanted to play

My two worries about this seat were the DOM and harness adjuster length. The DOM is 02/22/2010  but the harness adjuster looks short. i think it will work fine but we don't have nearly the amount we have the radian  The seat depth is good for her, too, despite the pic. I double checked after I saw the photo.

Questions about the seat:
Is there weight limit on the tush pillow? I doubt DD2 will ever want to use it but better to know.
Can you use the booster in mode in settings other than 4&5? I think she will likely need it on setting 3 when she is ready.

So, do I keep it? Look like it will work well?

I wonder if the short adjuster is a newer seat thing. Those with older models dont seem to have that problem. I have an 09 model and its too short

Dont know the limit on the pillow, but you can use any position for booster but 4 and 5 is ONLY booster, not harness.

For who asked- its FFing only and harnesses to 40 lbs.

We love it dispite the short harness. MyDD is on the top position and is just at the end of the harness length. I was worried about not having enough as I moved the straps up, but the way its designed, you always have about the same harness adjuster length regardless of what position you are on.

I just read through the instructions (http://www.recaro.com/fileadmin/extensions/rec_usa/pdf/Child_Safety_Manuals/Young_Sport.pdf) and found that the cushion inlay is optional for both harness and booster mode, and has no limits on when it can/cannot be used.

I also found that on page 39 it state:
During booster mode, you may use any of the five positions to properly fit the child. However, NEVER use positions 4 or 5 in harness mode.

Since I can't put the RN back in due to serious back pain today I took some better pics of DD2 in the YS :D

Front view, she actually likes the head wings of this so far.

Side view. This seat sticks out far but it has more leg support than the RN.

And of her harness height. I put a blue line where the harness is actually emerging from since it is hard to see. This is the second or middle slot. She has one more to go!
