She's 49.5" and 64lbs. She will be 7 in a few weeks.
Frontier85 or Monterrey? ...or other?

$100 difference. Is the 5pt overboard at this point? (Ok, probably the wrong group to ask that question. ;)) Thoughts? The new Frontier looks so narrow for an older kid, no?
Thank you!!

I would be comfortable with her age and size in a booster as long as she can sit properly in one without slouching or messing around. The Monterey is a good choice for a kiddo her size :)

What seat is your child riding in now? At your child's age/weight, I would be comfortable with her in a booster seat provided she was able to sit correctly in the booster seat for an entire car ride.

My 8 year old uses a Monterey and it fits her well. That same booster though doesn't fit my 5 year old well. See if you can find a store that carries a few different booster seats and try them out.

IMO for a 7YO your DD's size, assuming she doesn't have any developmental/behavioral delays, a good-fitting high back booster is appropriate. Esp. since you're probably finding that other kids your DD's age/size aren't even using boosters any more.:(

There is certainly nothing wrong with harnessing her if everybody's happy with it, but there's no reason to think it's what you *need* to do. She'd likely fit very well in a Monterey and be very safe.

Your DD has very similar stats to my DD, she's 7yrs old and about 65lbs and 52" tall. She fits wonderfully in a Monterey. I was tempted also to get her a Frontier because she's been asking but we're sticking with the Monterey.

Here is a picture of her in her booster.
