DH gets what he deserves

DH is the worst for not buckling up. I am always on him when he is with us, as are the kids. I have told him it is one thing to have such disregard for his own life, but when he is with us, he is not only putting himself in danger, but the rest of us - he would make one HUGE projectile:eek: . I found a youtube video of a fairly big guy in an accident who ended up in the rear window or something, and he is moderately better about getting buckled up before I have to remind him. He has been stopped a couple of times, and has been issued warnings (and always when I find out, I am cursing at the cop for not fining him to the hilt:mad: )but never before been ticketed. Today he got pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt, and finally got the fine - not only that but the officer found a bunch of other violations, he was not carrying licence, his licence plate was damaged, and he couldn't seem to locate his registration. Hopefully the combined fines will be enough to scare some safety into him, as I pointed out, if you had been buckled up you never would have been pulled over in the first place:p .

Hopefully he starts buckling....

But, I feel for him -- I've been playing phone tag with my Dr. & she left a message wanting me to call her Emergency line about the results  :( I called it while I was still parked in the campus parking lot, but she didn't answer so I left a message: she called while I was on my way home -- I usually keep my phone under the vehicle seat, but I forgot to charge it yesterday so I had it plugged in in it's little dash board cubby ... I recognized her ring tone & answered in case I needed to come in or go back to the hospital, but all I had time to tell her was that I needed to pull over. By the time I did pull over a Trooper's lights were flashing behind me  With the stress of the medical stuff + my financial situation (too long to explain, but I am broke broke broke) I burst into tears ... he came back b!t#ing about how my problems aren't his problem & if I yell at him again (huh???) he'd impound my car  Totally not fair, not after I shared my CPS card with him & explained that I never answer my phone & only did today because of medical reasons but was even telling the Dr. to wait until I pulled over! (somebody likes abusing authority because he stood there writing another ticket with the excuse that it's his job: how come you didn't write it to begin with then? Why now? Hm, out of spite?) *SIGH* I totally cannot afford this.

wow, that's pretty bad.

i guess i'm really lucky that DW and i are both on the same page when it comes to car safety. in fact, DW is always after me to make sure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure and that all the brake light bulbs are working. gosh, i knew she was the one i was going to marry when she pointed out that one of my tires was wearing unevenly! :D

Awww tiffany - you didn't deserve that - DH definately did, but you sure didn't - bad luck I guess:eek: I did have luck when I was a reckless teen pleading down a fine at the courthouse (just the area where you pay the ticket, not actually in court) sometimes the clerks there are more sympathetic...
