other forward facing seats with built in lock offs?

dd is currently rfing in a BLVD. But when she turns ffing, I am not sure I want to continue to use a britax convertible (due to the horrid crash testing where the straps ripped out of the seat).

1 of the cars I would want to install it in, I don't think the seatbelts lock. We have used locking clips before. I hate locking clips and would prefer a built in lock off.

Are there other good seats for forward facing that have the lock offs?
Should I keep her in the BLVD despite the test results or should I switch her to something else?

Other Britax convertibles, which it sounds like you're not interested in.
TrueFit/TrueFit Premier
Graco Nautilus Elite

What is the car that you don't think the belts lock?

If the testing makes you uncomfortable, get a different seat. The last thing you need if the worst were to happen is to think that you "knew" better and should have done something different, but different. On the other hand, the seats pass all testing that they are required to, and deemed safe by the government.

What year is the car? All cars since Model year 1996 have had seat belts that lock somehow, so it may lock in a different way then you are used to.

That said, the new Graco Nautilus Elite has a built in lock off, as does the True Fit.

It is a 1993 Mercury Sable. It also does not have any tether hooks that I am aware of. It is not a car that gets driven often.

Normally we drive a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. Previously when dd1 was little, we used a scenera with the center lap belt. she uses a booster now, and I am not sure if the scenera will still fit in the middle with a booster outboard.

She has the option in the Pathfinder of using our Signo.
