Kids in convertibles (cars, not seats)

How comfortable would you be putting your kids in a convertible? I have an '01 Mustang GT convertible that is currently and has been, out of commission. However, it will be driveable again in the near future, so would you put your kids in one?

I wouldn't until they were a bit older (forward facing age). At least, not with the top down. I don't know that there's any basis for that in safety fact, I just wouldn't be comfortable with it. In fact, I was going to get a convertible before we decided on Laine. So I figure that's in my future when she's about six or so. :)
