1997 Volvo wagon

Anyone have any opinions on a 97 volvo wagon? I'm in a position where I could sell my 02 QX4 SUV with 114,500 and worsening gas mileage and get a cheap 97 wagon with 80,000 and better gas mileage from my in-laws. I currently have a 7mo old infant in a convertible seat. Thoughts?? TIA!

I assume you are referring to an 850 model wagon. Awesome car

The only advice I have for that car has to do with the knob adjusters on some (all?) of the Evenflo convertibles. They are difficult to install RF outboard in the 850 & S70 sedans because the rear seats are contoured, and the wheel well is in the way of the adjuster knobs. if that is the type of carseat you have, and want to install outboard, I would try it in the wagon to see how it works for you.

Otherwise I love, love, love that car!!! I have a 98 S70 (same car, accesorized slightly differently) with almost 150k miles & its great.

thanks! I think it is the 850. before the newer style. more boxy and lower I think. Right now I have a My Ride 65 and a Chicco KF 30 but I think I'm going to get a TFP sooner or later for when DS grows out of the KF. We'll see what happens, and I guess I could just drive it around for a while, but you mamas are always so insightful!
