OnBoard 35 AIR worth it?

I'm wondering if the OnBoard 35 AIR is really worth the price tag vs. the regular OnBoard 35? We are currently in another IVF cycle and if it is successful, we will be in the market for a new infant seat. I like to try to stay pretty up to date on the current seats.

Not sure what others think but I'll give you my opinion. For a rearfacing only seat the air pillows are not really needed. Rearfacing is so protective that you really don't need them. I'd go for a regular Onboard35 or another seat alltogether.

It's a LOT softer than the regular Onboard, I think. I've got both at BRU and I can't believe how hard the regular OB35 feels. Though it's lined with EPP foam, and I've never had kids that complain about hard seats, so I don't know if it really matters much, and I doubt there's much safety difference, but just a knock-knock in the sides of the seats, and the Air just seems softer :D

Quite frankly I'd spring for one of the awesome patterns over the price of the regular.

I do think the cover is softer.

Safety-wise I think personally that it probably does the same job as EPP foam in the regular. Does it do it better? I don't know. But I'm confident it does it at least AS well.
