Nautilus question, RE: head pushed forward

Those of you whom have mentioned that you child wasn't comfortable because their was pushed forward, what slot was the child on? How close to being even were they? Did you try it in you car? Did your child complain or did you think it looked bad.

Those who don't, what slot is your child on? Is it possible this gets better at higher slots or it is by child? Is it better installed?

DD2 likes this seat but her head looks pushed forward. I am wondering if I should try it anyway. She would have excessive room to grow as she is just over the bottom slots. She would not be able to use the infant pad, right? If so, it would even the back out some and push her head forward less.

I just got this seat for my 3 year old and don't see any trouble with her head being pushed forward. I guess maybe a little when it was uninstalled but with it installed she seems pretty comfy in it. Actually she hasn't really had any head slump with it yet either which im happy about :) her head just kind of tilts to one side and she snuggles against the headrest and sleeps great!

I have a nautilus for Fiona who is 4 she is on the second to last slot, and we have not had any issues, with ours, I do keep it reclined when I install it.

We have one for each boy in dh's car. A sleeps great, no issues with head slump, no head being pushed forward. C has HORRIBLE head slump in the same seat in the same car. I believe both seats are reclined. Oh, their slots are top for A and 3rd for C.

Sofi's head looks pushed forward. I think she was right at the 2nd slots (not sure though). But this was only in the living room. But looking back a pic of her in J's Nauti in the car, I think her head looks pushed forward too. Sofi didn't complain about it at all, it was just something I noticed.

Caleb was using the third harness position and was about in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd slots. He wouldn't complain about it but he had terrible head slump in the nautilus, even when in the full recline. The nautilus was in a sonata, impala, and cx-7 and he had very bad head slump in all of them

The infant insert can only be used on the bottom slots, so if she is over the bottom slots, the insert has to come out.

I think it may push the head forward more when the child just moves up to the next slot. The head slump seemed to be a tad less when she was just right below the harness slot as opposed to just moving up. Either way, it would be nice if they could redesign the headrest to sit flush with the back of the seat instead of on top of it.

We were on the 2nd to tallest slot when DS was having head flop issues. I returned the seat for that reason b/c DS has no head flop issues in the Frontier.
