We're cleaning out our storage unit, and DH brought home the BabyTrend and bases this week. I checked the DOMs and found that the LatchLoc base is expiring next month.
It's rigid LATCH. It's cool. Not that I ever really got to use it with LATCH. DH's car doesn't have LATCH and isn't compatible with the FlexLoc base, so we used the LatchLoc in his car (which also required a pool noodle just to use up the seatbelt).
So what does that mean for the future? The seat itself and the FlexLoc base don't expire until 2013. We planned on using it for the next baby, maybe even a foster baby in the future. But now it's not compatible with DH's car.
We could use a convertible from birth, I suppose, or baseless BT. Or his car might die and get replaced. Or I could try to talk him into a KeyFit, which I totally don't need, but want because I want it.
Not really a question. Just needed to let that out.
