Carseat selection for 3 across in a cavalier?

Just when we thought we had figured out our next car seat "move" we found out we're expecting #3. So before I go out and purchase another seat I thought I'd check here whether it will be compatible with 3 across. Our 98 cavalier is our secondary vehicle so 2 seats should be fine most of the time but if it's at all possible we should have to option of all 3 in the car for emergency situations. Our primary is an 07 Sienna FWIW.

We have a Graco ComfortSport in the car, which expires in about a year and could be replaced with our Radian Premiere. Considering a Graco Nautilus as our next purchase... for now to be used in the car, with the option to juggle things in the future. We also have a Britax Boulevard and Graco Snugride (older model, which may be replaced, prefereably with a higher limit seat.)

Kids will be 5 1/2, 2 3/4 and newborn at that time and going forward. We are in Canada and our kids are on the smaller side. I will be OK with #2 being FF in the secondary vehilcle at that time.

Is a GN an OK purchase at this time? Should I go with a 2nd Radian instead? I know they are generally easier to fit 3 in a row. Other suggestions? This needs to be a tall harnessed seat at this time. Thanks for any thoughts.

I would not suggest the Nautilus if you need 3 in that car. I don't know if you have the Maestro up there? If so, that might work or you may need to go with the Radians.

I used to have a '98 Cavalier and I think you're going to have to go with all Radians if you have any hope of getting 3-across. I know that I had both an infant seat (Snuride) and a covertible (Decathlon) and both overhung into the center seat, leaving just inches in the middle The Nautilus is also fairly wide, so I don't think that's going to work for you.

radians and a coccoro... or radian, coccoro, and Ride safer travel vest

those are your best bets for 3 across in a tiny car.

I have a 2004 cavalier and have a radian, graco hbb, and just got a coccoro. They do seem to fit, it will be tight for my 6.5 dd to buckle but it certainly seems doable. I am no however getting a good install on the coccoro. I'm also 8.5 months pregnant so that probably isn't helping. If anyone has any tips on getting a tight install with the coccoro using seatbelts I sure would appreciate it.:)

You should be able to fit your radian and blvd ffing next to each other, leaving enough room to put the snugride in as well. Although, you may need to use the snugride baseless. I'd play around with the seats you have and see if you can make any combination work before going out and buying new seats.

Thanks so much for the replies! Sounds promising, hopefully the cavalier can keep us going a bit longer until we can afford to replace it. ;)
