They made it to 20 months!

SIL's triplets are 20 months old and still rear facing. They have made the choice to turn them front facing this week. They are all just over 20 pounds but they are misserable in the car. Her son gets out of his Marathon and stands up. I would love it if they waited longer but it has been a stretch to keep them rear facing this long. I wouldn't help them but if I leave it to BIL there is no telling how they will be installed. He means well but he doesn't pay attention while I show him or have him do it.

Well, 20 months is better than 12! Be glad for that. My grandson is 22 months still RF at 26 lbs. I got his mom to wait a little longer but I'm sure she will switch him at 2 and I will just be glad for the extra time. :D

How does the son get out of the MA? How will that change when they are FF?

My SIL's husband doesn't tighten the straps enough. I have tried talking to him and so has dh. He thinks it hurts him. He puts his hands under and pushes it down until he can get an arm out, twists and stands up. Atleast front facing they should be able to catch him before he does it. Hopefully this will also make for more peaceful trips in the car without SIL in the front seat leaning over three marathons.
