Sonata 2011

We are looking to purchase this car. Has anyone tried putting 3 seats across? for now, we have 2 children- 1 in a Radian which is ff and one in a booster seat. We would like to be able to take a friend home from school which would require the use of a 2nd booster seat. In the future we may need to use the car with 1 rf seat and 2 boosters. Any thoughts?
I may purchase the Sunshine Monterey since I know its width is small when backless (14 inches i believe.)

Any input is much appreciated.

I have not yet seen the inside of the new 2011 sonata, so I'm not sure how much has changed from earlier models, but the earlier models are very hard to get a 3-across in. The reason is, that although the sedan is good sized and the technical width of the backseat is pretty wide, they have thse molded, curved, plush seats which "steal" a LOT of room from the overall width. This makes the seats pretty comfy for a person sitting on teh seat, but the way the seat curves around the sides, means you lose a lot of space in which to potentially put a carseat. That being said, I HAVE gotten a number of 3-acrosses in the earlier model, but it has to be very specific, seats, and buckling booster is a NIGHTMARE(because there is not a single millimeter of space left in which to put your hand in order to buckle the boosters)...it's MUCH easier if you need all harnessed seats.

Like PP I haven't seen the inside of the new models, but I have an '06 and have put boosters on the side with a FF RN in the middle of it. The boosters that worked is the old style Parkway, the Olli, or the Monterey. The Vivo fits but I wouldn't recommend that one because it is waaay too hard to buckle. The monterey was the easiest after the PW (since they don't make that one anymore and I don't have a new style available to me. I was also able to do the Scenera RF'ing outboard but not the EFTA for future reference. Another RN would have been great but unfortunately I didn't have 2 to work with at the time. I do now and have done that wonderfully :)
