What should I do? Booster mode? Or not?

We have seat belt install issues with our Frontier. 2009 Honda Ody. I know it can be done, I've done it once before on the 3rd row, and sort of have it in the captain's chair now. It is tilted quite a bit though, LBP, and with enough force on it, in the right place, I can force it to move more than what I am comfortable with... ugh! I've reclined it and installed it, then sat the back more upright. Read threads on here and tried all the tips and tricks.

DS is 5.5, 46 lbs, don't have his current height. We have a TurboBooster we have used for training recently and for quick trips around town with his uncle or grandparents and he fits great in it and for the most part does really well staying in position. So I am considering converting the Frontier to booster mode and using it that way. What do you think? Not my first choice but I am feeling like it is the best choice for it to be installed correctly and used correctly everytime.

He is still harnessed in an XTSL in our other car. I thought about putting the other XTSL in the van for him, and letting her be back in a MA for awhile, but the other XTSL is Flora and he refuses to even sit in it. Not sure if it is worth investing in another cover or seat, can't imagine DH's reaction! LOL

Would I be totally crazy to go to booster mode now? Other suggestions?

You want to give it a firm handshake at the beltpath. I'm sure I could get my seats to move too if I used a battering ram on the head. Handshake at the beltpath. If you have less than 1" of movement -- not rock solid -- then you have an acceptable installation. If you have doubts about his ability to sit boostered, or you don't want him in a booster yet, then if you have an acceptable installation he'll be fine in it harnessed.
