How easy are these to install for a family that moves the car seat around a lot?

I've found the Apex to be pretty easy to install in almost all cars. Only drawback is the "needs head support" thing.

Would one be able to find one at a price like this by going to a B&M store? Or are the prices not always the same?

I called the one in NS (yes the one and only) and while she said the in store price was the same but they were O/S. I asked which store in Canada had them and she said the one in Freddie was showing 2 in stock. I'm not certain if she grasped that Canada extended beyond the Maritimes though

the downfall is that you have to have a headrest behind the Apex.

I knew that, it's for one of my daycare kids, and they move the car seat between the two parent's cars. They both have headrests, but they are... not careful about installing so if it's tricky...

But then, if the only one left in the Maritimes is in Fredericton, then it may not do me any good anyway!

You should thank me damn it... LOL. I was on hold for over 20 mins, hung up on 2x and passed around to 5 different people just so they could check a computer for stock. Oi! I could have driven there and back in that time. But for a good deal, I will do just about anything
