There's been a sudden posting of seats on my local craigslist today (8 in one day!) but this on is most defiantly unsafe and rather far for me to go buy to get it off the market.

Oh, i know why its suddenly on my craigslist, its not mine i forgot to click the link to get to mine! Duh! Anyway its unsafe and most defiantly out of my area to drive (i thought i didnt recognize that town!)

which flag do you use when flagging old carseats? it would seem to me that none of the available flags are quite appropriate? does craigslist offer a comment system to provide comments as to why their item is being flagged? they may have no clue why their item is being flagged down, and may keep reposting it. i would prefer contacting the seller and explaining why the carseats shouldn't ever be used by anyone, and if the seller doesn't voluntarily retract the item, then flag the sucker down! it is more work, but it seems a little more fair that way.

Usually, I first kindly send the poster an email explaining why the carseat is unsafe and should be destroyed. I would say 90% of the time I get a response back, and it is usually a good one. If they do not remove the posting then I flag. I have some friends here in Kansas City that help me. That way when their posting is removed they know exactly why. :)

"So what did you do Friday night?"
"I trolled Craigslist and Yahoo!Answers, flagging down expired carseats and correcting idiotic responses!"
"Oh, cool!!!"

We're pathetic, aren't we? :)

No pathetic is me my kids are at grandmas' house and i'm sitting at home alone (essentially, DF is playing WOW in the other room) in a prom dress i wore in high school. I put it on to prove i can too fit in it (which i can but it was a size too big then so i guess it does count for much) and havent felt like taking it off while cruising craigslist. (oh yeah i was supposed to put the dress on CL but havent gotten around to it)

LOL!!! So now we really are whacky, huh? I can just see you sitting there in your prom dress surfing the net, trolling for bad carseat people... :p

wow, already letting them spend the night away from home?
I cant imagine!!! DS and I just spent our first night apart at 3.5yo. It was hard! I cant imagine if I had twins and a toddler(when do they outgrow the toddler catagory?). I wasnt around much when you had the twins, what did you name them? how are they doing? I see it was 1 boy 1 girl from your ticker. Do you still have ryan, or what happened to her?

DH and I are both on our laptops, next to each other on the couch, anxiously awaiting midnight so our Yahoo Answers "day" will restart and we can work towards level 2. Now that is true love.
