Can I put a booster in the middle seat in the 3rd row (2004 Honda Odyssey)

Weird seatbelt ~middle seat in the 3rd row (2004 Honda Odyssey)~~PIX added in follow up post

Our 2004 Honda Odyssey has a weird seat belt for the middle position in the third row. It is a two part belt that latches together (I will try to get DH to take a pix for my asap to post) Does anyone know if it is ok to use this on a backless booster?

(Right now my son is in a monterey in the side position in the 3rd row, but I hate to leave him in the side position once I have to convert it to a backless booster)

Yes, as long as the seating position has a head rest. (I can't recall if the 04 ody does). If it doesn't, you'll need a high back.

I'm not sure if this would be an issue with a backless booster, but I have an '07 Odyssey and tried to put a Monterey (with the back on) in the center position (so I could use the LATCH) and wasn't able to. The Monterey actually covered up the buckle so that the seatbelt couldn't be done up. Maybe a narrower booster would work?

Ok, I finally have pix of the seatbelt..I just wanted to make sure it was ok, since it is a 2 part belt instead of a regular lap&shoulder belt.

Is is ok then to use this (middle position, back row), or is it safer to keep him in a side position, with a "regular" belt?
