In Search Of NB and small diapers and covers

I've got plenty of prefolds and a few covers, but I do need more covers. Also open to some fitteds, or basically anything that would fit a noob.

I'm new to the CDing world so anything you think I could use, please let me know!

I'm mostly trying to cover my butt for the first few months or so, then can sell the tiny stuff for bigger stuff.

I was going to order some XS Thirsties and newborn Bummis but thought I'd check here first to save some money.

Anyone?

I've got some NB swaddlebees somewhere that I never sold. I can try to dig them out if you want. Two light blue, two a little darker blue.

Mom2three and tiggercat, I'd be interested in a few covers!

Mom2three- I could use probably two of yours

Tiggercat- I'd love a couple of those Thirsties. $5 sounds fair to me.

So now I think I'm good on covers...anyone have any cute fitteds or anything? I'm turning into a diaper snob. Once I saw all the cute prints that exist I got excited. :p But I am still being responsible and buying used...now I can totally see how it's possible to spend WAY more on cloth than you ever would on sposies. lol.

Problem is, I am getting really tired of not being able to buy cute girl diapers or boy. GN is only fun for a little while. :(

naking and running out the door in a bit but I am subscribing and will get back to you about nb fitteds. DS has completely outgrown a handful of dipes already.

I've got some EUC Green Mountain diaps in both the orange edge (newborn) and yellow edge (small). I've got a few x-small Thirsties covers in gender-neutral colors, but I see that a few others also have some.

I also have a dozen BumGenius 3.0 that I'm thinking of selling.

I have some Kissaluv 0's I need to sell. I have 10, half have staining, I was gonna let them go for pretty cheap. They are small and not the most absorbent, but they do good for the first month or so, let me know if you are interested and I will get them out and take some pics.

I don't know anything about wool....would my kid die wearing wool in a Phoenix summer?

Wool is really breathable. I suck at wool though. you have to handwash it and even though you don't have to wash very often it still ended up being too much for me currently. Most people find it very easy though.

I typically just use wool at night. It is SO fantastic as an overnight diaper. (I use a prefold, hemp doubler, wool cover.) I'm giving you a couple wool covers, though, like I said, I'm not sure either of them will actually work.

For maintenance, every couple weeks I wash them (soak in a sink with tepid water and wool wash for 15 minutes), wring dry in a towel, then lanolize (dissolve a bit of lanolin--like the stuff for your nipples--in a couple ounces of super-hot water and a drop of wool wash; mix into another sink-full of tepid water; soak for at least 15 minutes), wring out again, and let dry. It's the drying that takes a while--sometimes two days. So you want to have some kind of backup. And when exclusively-BF poo gets on them, you have to VERY GENTLY clean it off without really rubbing. That's a bit of a pain.

It sounds involved and kind of a PITA, but I think it's worth it.

I know a woman in NM, that pretty much exclusively used wool. You could also try fleece covers. (I want to start to try to make some).

Okay, I have some KL0s, and some swaddlebees newborn, that I loved:love: that have been sitting here. Can't remember all I have, but I know where they are:) Let me know if you all want some.
