Safeguard Go Hybrid

So I'm trying to install my Go Hybrid and I'm wondering if I can put the tether under the headrest in my car. I think it fits better that way. The seat is still fully on the seat back. No part of the go headrest is above the seat back.

BTW... whoever says this thing can be installed in one minute is crazy. Perhaps there is a learning curve but it seems so tricky with all the straps.

I must be crazy, then. I've done it in less than a minute: click, click, tighten, click, tighten. :p But all cars are different, and the goal is safety, not speed.

Anyway, as long as your vehicle doesn't prohibit it, and as long as the top of the Go is completely supported by seatback, I don't see a problem in routing under the headrest.

Should be fine. What car is it? Many tell you to go under the headrest anyway if you have adjustable headrests. And that's what I'd do.

Doesn't the Go specifically say to go around if possible? Not sure, but check the instructions for both the Go AND your vehicle.

Didn't mean to imply you were crazy.... just talented. I think there's just a learning curve to this seat for me, just like with my Radian. 45 minutes the 1st time with an average install and now 1 minute rock solid:). I think all the straps were just a little overwhelming and the lighting isn't the best in our garage right now.

I might say that. I need to re-read the manual this morning. I was super tired last night, preggo, and trying to keep and eye on DS at the same time. I re-checked it quickly before I posted but didn't see that part.

No worries: I AM a bit crazy :)

KQ might be right about the tether. I forgot it was a V-tether. (Haven't used it in a while.)

Okay, I was wrong (probably mistaking it with something else.)

Here's the Tether Routing Instructions.

With a movable headrest you are ALWAYS supposed to route the straps under, and between the posts when possible (if not I guess outside the posts but still under the headrest.) With a fixed headrest you are supposed to route around or over.
