Baby Trend Questions

We have a foster daughter and when they brought her they brought a Baby Trend Car Seat. I don't have the manual and wanted to see what the weight/height limit on it was. She is currently 18 pounds 6 ounces at 7 months old. We use a Britax Marathon as our back-up seat currently. How long does it usually go to?

It should say on the labels on the side.

Most Baby Trend infant seats go to 22 lbs and are outgrown by height when there is less than 1" of shell above the baby's head. There are some newer ones that go to 30 lbs.

What type of LATCH connectors does the base have? Some of the rigid ones were recalled.

It's also important to note that the handle must be down in the car.

There should be weight/height information on a sticker on the side of the seat. It could either be 22 pounds or 30 pounds, depending on how old the seat is. The head should be no closer than one inch to the top of the seat back. :)

edit..oops, typed too slow...and forgot the 'handle down' rule :)

In the carseat measurements spreadsheet, I see two different types of flex loc seats. One seat goes up to 22lbs and up to 28.5 inches, and the other seat goes up to 30lbs and up to 30 inches. From looking at the internal seating height though, they seem like almost identical seats so you just need to look at the 1" above the head rule as well as the weigth limit on the seat for when the seat is outgrown.

The Baby Trend Flex Loc car seat I used to own had the weight limit written on the side of the car seat on a sticker. As PP have mentioned please make sure the handle is in the down position in the car.
