I just sent DD off in a booster for the first time

I know it's just a short trip. I know she's with a very safe driver. I know she's in a safe car. I know she'll be supervised. I know she's a lot older that most kids around here in boosters. I know she won't move out of position. I know I've driven myself crazy researching to get the "best" booster for her. But it's still strange not buckling her into a 5 point harness.

That's all. No real point. It just feels weird.

I can sympathize. DD just had her first ride in a booster last week and she did well, but its weird.

I hope she had fun and you were able to relax while she was out.

Me 2. DD rode in her booster the very first time to school this morning because her GN cover was being air dried at home since she spilled chocolate milk in it late yesterday. She did ride in it a few times before while being trained but first time all the way to school (around 5 miles).

I get it. I am starting to think of booster training and I just can't get used to the idea of letting go of the "safety net" feel you get with the harness.

I know what you mean... even now, I look at Ruthie in her booster and think... BUT SHE'S SO LITTLE!... even though I know it is necessary as she's too big for the harness in the Nautilus.

I know I put so much research into the booster she uses in my car... just as I did for the booster she uses in the other car (though it was for different reasons and a different child... it still is the best choice for her right now in that car)

I know that she's been more than fully booster trained and she is comfortable, uses it properly, and is more than ready... and I know that she actually sleeps with her head not flopping, which wasn't true in the Nautilus... but still, she seems so small to me... my baby.
