Rear facing tether point for '07 Honda Odyssey

I know this has been asked a million times and I've seen the thread with the tether points for an Odyssey but I can't seem to duplicate it in my van.

In the Odyssey tether point thread there doesn't seem to be any plastic housing around the bottom of the seat. Was it removed or is it just different for my year Odyssey?
Is the plastic housing removable? I don't want to damage the van if possible.

Here is a picture of the area where I need to tether behind the drivers seats. There is a small gap further back under the seat but the D-ring doesn't fit there.

You've got a huge plastic piece that goes from one side to the other there. Try popping the whole thing off. It may take a screwdriver if it's screwed in.

Thank you! I saw that but I'm trying to figure out how to get the plastic housing off so I can get to those points. I don't want to break my new van. lol

Sometimes you can use a butter knife to slide it under the plastic and seat track without taking the plastic all the way off.

Good luck... I'm sure it'll just pop back on in any case

i have an '07 also and just moved dd's seat to the driver's side last week. the big plastic piece popped off without breaking for me. i just started from the inside corners if that makes sense. and definitely move your floor mats first!

Just leave the plastic piece on, and tether around it. Feel around the back of the plastic on one of the sides. You will feel the metal bar ;) Just wrap the d-ring all the way around the plastic. It will be just fine.

I'll run out to my van right now and take a quick picture....
