Traditions or Radian

Hi Ladies, We are flying on CanJet on Sunday. I was initially planning on taking DS's Traditions fo the flight, but am now debating whether the Radian would be a better choice because of the lower profile and it's far narrower. It is a 6 hour direct flight, no layovers to worry about. I'd appreciate any advice.
Thank you in advance
Tanya

The Radian is a DREAM forward facing on a plane. Absolutely very very easy to install and use, you can put the armrest and the tray down.

Hi Wendy, thank you. Do I need to worry about flipping the buckle so it's not impossible to remove once we arrive. Also if you don't mind me asking, how did you lug it around the airport. (that's really my main concern, it is so heavy!) Well that and it isn't always the easiest seat to install...
Thank You

No, no flipping. You don't need to do anything, just buckle and tighten. I found that reclining the plane's seat and putting my hands through the beltpath openings meant I could recline the plane's seat in flight for Piper and she'd be more comfortable.

I used the backpack straps. Far more comfortable than the bag, which ripped after a few uses.

Backpack straps? I don't remember seeing them... Ours is an older 2006 model, one of the $99 canadian tire specials, would it have the straps?
Thanks

Check that yours has fabric loops on the back to which to attach the straps, then you can order them from SKJP.

Numbers 21 on that diagram.

Get two and you can hook it up like a backpack. Very comfortable.

Hopefully this'll help convice DH. He thinks I'm nuts for even taking a seat, especially this one as it'll be a pain in the butt. I'm thinking it'll help contain DS for the flight (not to mention how much safer it is!)
Where would I attach the straps at the top of the seat?
Thanks Tanya
