Was field trip driver (20 mi. round trip to local art gallery) for two days in a row - DD2's class yesterday and DD1's today.
Yesterday: DD2 and girl classmate about the same size as DD2, in 3rd row with old-style Parkway's. Two boys in 2nd row, marginal but acceptable seat belt fit so I let them ride w/o boosters (and they actually listened when I told them to make sure the lap portion of the belt wasn't riding up too high on their tummies).
Today: 4 girls, 2 are about DD1's height but more torso (DD1 is very leggy), one is petite and has no objections to using an HBB. 2 taller girls say they don't need boosters but they wanted to ride in the 3rd row so they agreed to sit in the PW's (I told them 3rd row passengers need to use the PW's b/c there's no side air bags in the 3rd row), DD1 and petite classmate use the AirBooster and FPSV booster.
Funny: so while we're on the freeway, the girls in the 3rd row are commenting "Whoa, you can see *everything*" b/c the boosters give them a better view out the window. I doubt it was enough to make them want to go back to using boosters in their own cars, but at least they enjoyed the ride today!
