Hmmm...so that's how they do a seat check!?

I live in a smallish town in Northern Alberta. Today the RCMP are apparently doing car seat checks. I was pulled over as I was going to turn into Tim Hortons. Officer said "we are doing car seat checks, roll down the rear window please" I have four FF seats(2 MA, 1 Nauti, 1 Scenera), 3 of which were occupied. He literally eyeballs all the kids to make sure they were strapped in appropriately, asked if all seats were tethered(as he reaches over to give the empty MA a shake...it didn't budge)...I said yes and he sent us on our way.:eek:
Very interesting...I think he was just glad to see the kids(ages 2y4m, 3y9m, 3y8m)all buckled into their seats.

Well that sounds thorough. :p I suppose it's better than nothing though to at least make sure that children are in car seats, period.
We are headed back to northern AB on Friday. When we were there over Christmas it didn't look like car seats were priority unfortunately.
