will the seat belt hold?

Hi! I was installing my daughters Frontier with the seat belt and came up with a question. I have a solid install on the seat. To get the install tight, I have to put a good bit trial and error and effort the get the buckle to reach the latch and then to get it to click. The buckle doesn't quite reach the latch, and it does take a good bit of effort. I would assume that it would leave a fair amount of pressure(?) on the buckle being that tight. With all that pressure already on the buckle would it still hold tight in an accident or would it pop loose? I'm just picturing strain already on the buckle and latch and it not taking much to let it loose. I may be crazy. Thanks in Advance!!!

Ditto Wendy, except if it's located in a place where the buckle might be stepped on by a kid climbing in, just be cautious about that. When it's that hard to buckle it's just a shame and a pain in the rear when a kid steps on a buckle and manages to unbuckle it!
