we went and say a tech today but i think we need to see some one else. the tech suggested we forward face my sisters daughter who is all of 19 lbs. alluded that we were over cautious to keep her facing the back. she did install the seat but it was very loose. like the seat could move at least a fist width. any way i can travel to saint louis and kansas city. THANKS

Assuming all the techs in your area are trained by the same people (I don't know if they are or not) and are giving out the advice you mention in your first post, I can understand why you want to travel to another area.

I hope you find someone alot better. At least you know better and can recognize the errors.

good luck!

Where is that report-a-bad-tech form? If the tech is giving out incorrect advice (and violating manufacturer's instructions definitely counts), you should report the tech so that they can receive additional training.

it's not that easy.I tried to report a tech that was giving me a very wrong info and didn't want to install my car seat RF but it wasn't that easy.I called everyone and no one cared. They were like'-what do you want me to do' or 'we are very sorry but we can't help you....

There's a form, somewhere ... I've searched and can't find it. If you use the form to report a tech giving out incorrect information, it will go to the right people who can/will do something about it.

I started a new thread and see who can come up with that form. New thread -> new eyes, hopefully.

I'm a tech in Kansas City...if you want to PM me I'd be willing to check your seat. :)

Yes, there are some bad techs around here, but there are also a lot of good ones...
