I emailed and actually got a response  I heard here awhile ago they were going to up the weight limit on the yougsport. They are! A new seat called the ProSport launching hopefully 5/1 with harness limits of at least 80lbs. Gayle said it should be viewable within the next month or so on their site. :D

Re: New Recaro booser/combo

Oh I've been waiting for this seat!! This is their new high weight harness seat that the have been talking about for the past few years. The Monza booster is different, its alot like the Monterey :)

So is it supposed to be very similar in style to the YoungSport, just with increased limits? Any info about harness height? I don't even know what the harness height was on the YoungSport.

Hm. I was all set to pre-order the Frontier (like tonight!) so now I don't know if I should wait or not.

Recaro won't elaborate on what the ProSport is going to look like but its suppose to be based on the Young Sport which has 17" top slots. If I were you I would go ahead with the Frontier 85 ;)

I hope they increase the length of the harness on the new YS. My kiddo is pretty small and 2-3" below the top slots but has zero harness left so when I called they said the seat was outgrown. At 30 lbs. Booo!

I love my YS though and will put S in it when she turns 3 in DH's car, but she has the same problem with the short harness so if they have a new one I'd buy it in a second!

Re: New Recaro booser/combo

the Monza is ONLY a booster... they're simply talking about upgrading the Youngsport... which I believe was mentioned as a probability at ABC... or Lifesavers.

But this is great! They're really stepping up their game... NOW... if only they'd give us more leg room for older rearfacers in the como/signo (though at least it's a very well padded seat for low-tone kids and great for the tall skinny set that it can be hard to recommend for)

Splash - take this as a sign to call and get info out of Gayle about it (and while you're at it, since I'm lazy, ask her if latch will be a feature on the US version of the Monza)

Sooo...you can make out the outline of the seat when you look really close...I wonder if that is what its going to look like. It isn't much different than the original but I WANT it!
