Installing onboard 35 today. Any quirks?

My "baby" cousin(*sniff*) who is expecting his first child is coming at lunch time today to have me help teach him to install their infant seat.

It's the Onboard 35 (the one from Target if that makes a difference). I've never seen one of these IRL. I told him to bring the manual so hopefully he does!

But to be prepared, is there anything I need to know about installing this seat? Any weird quirks with handle position, or the base, or insert "rules" or anything like that?

TIA!

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Would have told you about the funky foot.

Install went fine. He of course didn't bring the manual  And left the LATCH strap at home. I figured out the base though. Very strange. The seat itself was really nice. His just had a splitter plate, nothing sewn. That bottom slot is LOW though. I was impressed!

Too bad it was in a tiny 2 door car. Not sure how long they'll keep her RFing at that rate. Once she's out of the bucket, I can't see them climbing back there to put her in a RFing convertible. I just tried to reiterate that she could stay in it as long as she met the requirements, even if she was over 1, so hopefully for money's sake, they just keep her in it till they outgrow it

On the box was advertised "17% more leg room" which I thought was good. Parents are so concerned about feet, this might prompt them to buy the seat and actually use it as long as they can
