Question Pontiac Montana. How many top tether anchors?

How many top tethers are there in a Montana? And where are they? I am unsure of the year if that makes a difference. I assume Montana's are a 7 passenger van. I know nothing about them.

DD daycare is taking the children on a day trip and she will have I believe 5 children with her in the van. The day care provider had assumed DD was in a booster when I asked about transport and she was unsure of how many top tethers were in her van.

I know she will have her FF 2 year old in what looks to be a Cosco 3-1 and RF 7 month old in a SafeSeat as for the rest of the children they are over a year and I am going to assume that they are FF as well(extended rear facing is very rare around here) and at least one child is 5 so most likely in a booster. So unless there are a whole lot of top tether anchors in this van I guess I will be driving DD myself.

This is when I really wish I had one of the new Radians so I could just rear face her for the trip.

I don't know where my LATCH manual is right now so I can't look it up for you.

Are any of the FFing children in convertibles, and would they fit RFing? Even if it's not how they usually ride, they could RF for this trip to help out with the tether anchor problem.

I have a 2005 Pontiac Montana that seats 7. There are 4 top tether anchors, 2 in the middle row and 2 in the 3rd row. Just 1 set of LATCH though.

I thought about that option, even if they are in FF only seats but still under 30lbs I could let them use one or two of my convertibles and put DD in the GN(although she hates it with a passion).
I really need to get moving and order the Monterey if that is the case so DS has a seat for that day.
It's bringing it up to the daycare provider and the parents with my limited French. DD just started this daycare and she just reopened after maternity leave so we all new to one another and I have yet to even see any of the other parents. My drop off/pick up sked is different from theirs I guess.
I guess I will see what I have to do when I find out how many top tethers there are.

Great!!! That would be perfect.

Do you happen to know if they changed the amount of top tether anchors for different years? I am going to ask her what year it is tonight. And are the anchors on the bottom back of the seats, or on the floor or even on the roof. I like to know where I am going to be looking.

I'm not sure if they changed them for different years so I can't help there.

But the tether points are right on the back of the seats, you can't miss them.

I have an 04 8 Pass Venture (Montana clone) and by BFF has an 04' Montana 8 pass, and there are 4 TAs in both our vehicles too...one on each of the three bucket seats in the 2nd row, and one in the third row.

She has no idea of the year of her van but she told me that her DH said there were 4 top tether anchors.
She said that if there were not enough TA her daughter would go with a friend who is also going. I think that makes for enough TA for everyone FF so it worked out well.

I've got a 2002 Montana, 8-passenger. Each of the 3 seats in the second row has the anchor on the very bottom of the back of the seat. I've yet to locate the anchor in the third row. I have the bench in the 3rd row. If anyone could post a photo of where it is - I'd be forever grateful.

We had looked at buying model years 06-09 and they all only had 3 TA's- 2 in the centre row and one in the rear bench centre.

livsmum- Is your 3rd row seat Stowable? It say in the Latch Manual that there is a TA for the centre 3rd row seat but it's located on the passenger side.

For regular bench seats is says that there are two TA's outboard. Sorry I don't have any photos.

Yes, I'm pretty certain it's stowable but I just can't see where a tether anchor could attach to. It's not as though I need to have a seat back there, I'm just curious.
