Clek Olli?

I am going to need to move dd into a backless booster soon. She is going to out grow her Monterey very quickly. I know I could just take the back off but I would like to start booster training my 7 year old in that one so I could have it as a spare seat for her instead of moving the Regent around. My question is, do any of the backless boosters, specifically, the Olli, offer any impact foam?

Impact foam is really for the head/neck area. I'm not sure how it could benefit a child in a backless booster

So, basically, a backless booster offers no additional protection? When is a high back out grown? Is it when the seatbelt guide is right at shoulder level?

Yes, the highback is outgrown when the shoulder creeps up to the belt guide or the tops of the ears are at the top of the headrest.
My kids like the Olli because it looks cool, but find the Combi Dakota to be a lot more cushy and comfortable http://carseatblog.com/?p=2171 The Harmony Secure Deluxe is also really nice, a little less expensive, a tad bigger... http://carseatblog.com/?p=2081

I'd also throw in the Harmony Literider from walmart... 13.50 and a solid booster that fits bigger kids really well.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm getting the Harmony or the Combi for Jeffrey... he's outgrowing the Monterey fast... and all his new height has been torso... I thought for sure he'd be like his brother and fit it even after he would hit 4'9", but it looks like he's just too much torso for that to happen.
