I am due to have my first baby in april and got this travel system for her. The only question i have is that the back of the base is tightly secured down but the front of the base seems to be able to lift up and toward the back of the base? It just doesnt seem that it would be very safe if i was hit in a head on or something and the base was forced toward the back of the base? Can anyone let me know how to fix this?

Welcome, and congrats!

You don't. You only need to check for tightness at the belt path. In a collision the seat will rebound. That's the way it's tested and it's passed testing. I wouldn't worry about it.

Just make sure the handle is down in your car and if you're using LATCH it's an approved LATCH position (most middle seats are not).
